- Preparation

    - Check whether the size of the window and door opening meets the design requirements, the opening should be vertical and horizontal, if there is any deviation, it needs to be dealt with in advance.

    - Prepare installation tools, such as drills, screwdrivers, levels, sealant guns, and other required installation materials, such as expansion bolts, sealant, gaskets and so on.

    - Check the doors and windows to see whether the models and specifications of the doors and windows are correct, whether the doors and windows are open and close flexibly and tightly, and whether there is any damage.

- Installation of door and window frames

    - Put the door and window frames into the opening and fix them temporarily with wooden wedges, and then check the level and verticality of the door and window frames using a level meter and a vertical line to make sure that the error is within the permissible range. Generally the horizontal deviation of the door and window frames is not more than 2.5mm and the vertical deviation is not more than 2.5mm.

    - According to the location of the mounting holes on the door and window frames, drill holes in the wall of the opening, then drive the expansion bolts into the holes and tighten the nuts to fix the door and window frames firmly with the wall. The spacing of the expansion bolts is generally not more than 500mm and should be evenly distributed.

    - During installation, pay attention to the uniformity of the gap between the door and window frames and the wall, and the gap width is generally 20 - 30mm for subsequent sealing treatment.

- Installation of doors and windows

    - After the door and window frames are installed and fixed, the door and window fans are installed on the door and window frames. Installation to ensure that the door and window fan and door and window frames with a uniform gap, generally up and down the gap for 3 - 5mm, left and right gap for 2 - 3mm.

    - Adjust the hinge position of the door and window fan, so that the door and window fan switch is flexible, no gap after closing, and good sealing. At the same time, check whether the locks of doors and windows are firmly installed and smoothly used.

- Sealing treatment

    - Sealant is used to seal the intersection of the door and window frames and the wall, as well as the gap between the door and window fan and the door and window frames. Sealant should be coated evenly, smooth lines, no bubbles, no cracks, to ensure a good sealing effect.

Analysis of common problems

- Door and window frame deformation

    - Reason: the hole size may be inaccurate, door and window frames are forced into the hole during installation, resulting in uneven force on the door and window frames; or in the installation process, the door and window frames are impacted by external forces; in addition, the poor quality of the door and window frame materials used may also lead to deformation of the door and window frames after installation.

    - Solution: Before installation, we should accurately measure the size of the opening to ensure that the door and window frames can be installed smoothly and evenly spaced. During the installation process, pay attention to the protection of door and window frames to avoid being hit by external forces. If you find that the door and window frames have been deformed, you should promptly replace the door and window frames with qualified quality.

- Door and window fan switch is not flexible

    - Reason: the door and window fan and door and window frame clearance is too small, or hinge installation position is not accurate, resulting in the door and window fan in the switch is hindered; in addition, the weight of the door and window fan is too large, it may also make the hinge to withstand insufficient force, affecting the flexibility of the switch.

    - Solution: Adjust the gap between the door and window fan and the door and window frame to make it meet the requirements. Re-check the hinge installation position, such as deviation adjustment or re-installation. For the excessive weight of the door and window fan, you can consider replacing the hinge with a stronger load-bearing capacity.

- Doors and windows are not sealed properly
